Cookie Policy.

Short version: we barely use any. Our analytics are cookieless, and the only cookies on this site are the essential ones that keep things working.

What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to remember preferences, maintain sessions, and understand usage patterns. They are a standard part of how the web works.

We believe in using as few cookies as possible. This page explains exactly what our site stores on your device and why.

Cookies We Use

We only use essential cookies - the bare minimum required for the site to function properly. These include:

  • Session cookies - temporary cookies that keep things working as you browse the site. These are deleted when you close your browser.
  • Theme preference - remembers your light/dark mode selection so you don't have to set it every visit.

These cookies do not track you across websites, do not contain personal information, and cannot be used to identify you.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how visitors use our site - which pages are popular, where traffic comes from, and how the site performs.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is privacy-first and completely cookieless. It does not set any cookies on your device, does not track individual users, and does not collect personally identifiable information. It works by aggregating anonymous page-view data on the server side.

This means we get the usage insights we need to improve the site without compromising your privacy. No cookie banners needed for analytics - because there are no analytics cookies.

Third-Party Cookies

Some pages on our site embed content from third-party platforms, such as YouTube or Vimeo video players. When you interact with this embedded content, those platforms may set their own cookies according to their own privacy policies.

We do not control these third-party cookies. If you are concerned about them, you can manage or block them through your browser settings or by choosing not to interact with the embedded content.

  • YouTube - may set cookies when embedded videos are played (Google Privacy Policy applies)
  • Vimeo - may set cookies when embedded videos are played (Vimeo Privacy Policy applies)

Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies, set preferences for specific websites, or browse in a private/incognito mode that doesn't persist cookies.

Because we only use essential cookies, blocking them may affect basic site functionality like theme preferences. However, the site will still work.

For detailed instructions on managing cookies in your browser, visit your browser's help documentation or allaboutcookies.org.
